At CES 2025, Nvidia unveils the RTX 50 series graphics cards, Learn about more..

Las Vegas, NV – Nvidia has officially announced the heavily anticipated RTX 50-series graphics cards at CES 2025, acting as a major breakthrough in both gaming and AI performances. These new GPUs with the “Blackwell” architecture by Nvidia promise to deliver breakthroughs in power and efficiency.

The RTX 50-series is composed of four models: RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. The RTX 5090 series starts at $1,999 and features an astounding 92 billion transistors with 3,352 trillion AI ops per second (TOPS), making it one of the most powerful graphics cards ever made. The RTX 5080 is priced at $999, and the RTX 5070 at $549, with the Ti model sitting in between at $749.

AI-fueled neural rendering is among the heavy hitters in the RTX 50-series. Boosting frame rates by up to “8x” against old render methods thanks to Nvidia’s DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation3, the GPU ensures a smoother and more immersive experience for gamers even at higher resolutions.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the RTX 50 series is the “engine of AI,” with neural networks integrated into the rendering of impressive performance and image quality improvements. Other notable advances include the introduction of 4th-gen RT cores and 5th-gen Tensor Cores, increasing the GPUs’ ability to handle AI computing and ray tracing.

Available starting from January 30, 2025, the RTX 50-series is expected to see laptops incorporating these GPUs release later in the year. Nvidia believes that the RTX 5070 laptop, sitting at $1,299, would deliver performance on par with the desktop RTX 4090 that started selling at $1,5994.

Overall, RTX 50-Series is the next big step in graphics technology providing next-level performance for gamers, creators, and AI developers.
